Poptox, Globfone, IevaPhone and Call2friends: what their free calls allow now

آخر تحديث: 13 أكتوبر 2026

All four still work. We checked Poptox, Globfone, IevaPhone and Call2friends on 13 October 2026: each site was online and offered calls, and none had announced a shutdown. What has changed is the free part. Each of them now limits free calls by the number of calls, the minutes, the countries or a small credit, and Globfone asks for a verified account with a payment card before you can make free calls. We did not place calls through these sites; everything below is taken from their own pages, so you can check it yourself.

Poptox

Poptox still lets you call from the browser without an account. Its home page says "No signup" and that no payment is required to try it out, and it invites you to sign up "to unlock unlimited calls".

The free calls are limited. In the FAQ archived from its site on 5 August 2026, Poptox wrote that it limits "the number and duration of free calls that can be made in a single day", and that it can offer free time-limited calls because some users pay for their international calls.

The paid side is a monthly subscription, not a per-minute rate. Its plans page lists three monthly plans, each with unlimited calls to a fixed list of countries, and says there are no per-call charges. That suits regular calls to the countries on your plan; for an occasional call it means paying for a whole month.

Globfone

Globfone has moved to a new platform: the site now greets visitors with "Welcome to the New Globfone", and its old apps have been retired. Free calls still exist, but they need an account. Its FAQ says that to use free calls you have to create an account and complete a verification that includes confirming your email, verifying your phone number by SMS and adding a payment card. Globfone explains that for nearly 15 years it did not require registration, and that this led to abuse.

The free service runs on small credits that build up over time. You can top them up by watching a short advertisement, typically once every 24 hours, and Globfone warns that on expensive destinations, especially mobile numbers in some countries, a full daily boost may cover only a few seconds of conversation.

Globfone Premium is pay as you go: you top up in advance and pay for what you use, with no time limit beyond your balance. Its service status page also reports that since 16 July 2025 calls to certain countries have been unavailable because of account suspensions at its upstream providers, and that calls to some countries, including the US, Canada and Australia, have been fully restored, with limited slots for India.

Free browser calls still exist, but each site caps them in its own way.

IevaPhone

IevaPhone is still a free dialer with no registration, but only to some countries. Its home page says it supports "only the main, most popular directions" and that you can always call the United States, India, Pakistan and the UK.

Free calls are counted per IP address and reset every 24 hours. The home page says that as a rule it gives 1-2 minutes of free talk; its FAQ speaks of 4 calls a day per IP address. The website itself has no paid calls: for those it points to its mobile apps.

Call2friends

Call2friends is mainly a paid service. Its home page says you pay only for the time you talk, with no connection fees and no hidden charges, and its terms say you can ask by email for a refund of unused credit.

Free calls are a side offer. Call2friends lists them for India, the USA, Pakistan and a few other countries, limits them by IP address to 1-2 calls a day in some areas and 1 in others, and says free calls go over cheaper, lower-quality routes than paid ones, so they can sound worse.

When paying per minute is simpler

If one short call a day to a popular country is enough, these free tiers may do the job. If you need longer calls than the free limit or credit allows, a country outside their free lists or a call you can count on, you will usually be paying. The choice is then how: a monthly subscription (Poptox), credit topped up in advance (Globfone Premium, Call2friends) or another per-minute service.

Browzerphone is a per-minute service. It runs in a browser tab on a laptop or desktop, calls phone numbers in 216 countries and charges per minute from a prepaid balance, at the rates on its rates page; calling needs no subscription. Your first call of up to 60 seconds is free and needs no card; premium-rate numbers are not covered. It is not a free calling site: after that first minute every call is paid.

الأسئلة الشائعة

Is Poptox shut down?

No. On 13 October 2026 poptox.com was online, offering free calls without an account and a page of monthly plans. In its FAQ as archived on 5 August 2026, Poptox said it limits the number and duration of free calls each day.

Is Globfone still free?

Free calls still exist, but you need an account verified by email, SMS and a payment card, and the free credit is small: Globfone says a daily boost may cover only a few seconds of conversation on expensive destinations. Its paid Premium service is pay as you go.

How long can I talk for free on IevaPhone?

IevaPhone says that as a rule it gives 1-2 minutes of free talk, counted per IP address and reset every 24 hours, and its FAQ speaks of 4 calls a day. Free calls go only to its main destinations, such as the United States, India, Pakistan and the UK.

Does Call2friends have free calls?

Yes, to India, the USA, Pakistan and a few other countries, limited by IP address to 1-2 calls a day in some areas and 1 in others, over lower-quality routes. Most of what Call2friends offers is paid per minute.
