How to call O2 from abroad, also when your phone is lost

Đã kiểm tra bằng cuộc gọi thử ngày 14 tháng 10, 2026Cập nhật ngày 19 tháng 10, 2026

From abroad, call O2 on +44 7860 980 202. O2 gives that number on its contact page for customer service from abroad, and on its lost or stolen device page for anyone whose phone was lost or stolen while abroad. We called it twice from Poland through Browzerphone on 14 October 2026: both calls went through, and the menu offered 4 to report a lost or stolen device.

O2's number from abroad and its hours

O2's contact page has separate customer service numbers for Pay Monthly and Pay As You Go. Pay Monthly: 202 from an O2 mobile and 0344 809 0202 from a landline. Pay As You Go: 4445 from an O2 mobile and 0344 809 0222 from a landline. From abroad, both use the same number, +44 7860 980 202, which O2 marks as free from an O2 mobile on the matching plan; other providers' charges may vary.

The hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 9pm, Saturday 8am to 8pm and Sunday 8am to 6pm, UK time. The lost or stolen device page gives the same hours.

O2 says it uses automatic security verification and will ask for your security answer before you speak to someone. You can set the answer in advance in the My O2 app, under Settings, then Security and Privacy.

  1. 1Dial +44 7860 980 202 during O2's opening hours.
  2. 2If your phone cannot enter +, use the international exit code of the country you are in instead.
  3. 3Say yes or press 1 if you have an O2 account, then say or enter the mobile number on the account.

Lost or stolen phone abroad

O2's lost or stolen device page says: "Had your device stolen or lost while abroad? Please call +44 7860 980 202." O2 asks you to tell it within 24 hours, ideally as soon as you know the device is gone. It can then send you a new SIM with your existing number and block your old device.

If the phone was stolen, O2 says you should also report the theft to the police within 24 hours and get a crime reference number for your insurance claim. If you lose the phone, O2 says it caps your liability for unauthorised calls or data usage at £100 once you tell it.

The line is not open at night. Outside the hours above, the Find My service on an iPhone or Find on Android may let you locate, lock or erase the phone, as O2's page points out, if you turned the service on before.

Call O2 from your browser when your phone is gone

If your phone was lost or stolen, you can call O2 with Browzerphone from a laptop or any other computer, with no SIM card and nothing to install. O2's number from abroad is a UK mobile number, and Browzerphone charges per minute at a published rate that you can check before you call. The menu keys are on the keypad in the tab.

Without credit, Browzerphone only allows a free trial call, and it ends after one minute. Reporting a lost phone can take longer, so top up before you call.
