How to call Monzo from abroad

From abroad, Monzo customers call +44 20 3872 0620, the number Monzo's help page gives for current account support "From abroad"; in the UK it is 0800 088 4040. Our test call from Poland on 20 October 2026 got through to a recorded greeting and a two-key menu: press 1 if you have a Monzo account, 2 if you don't. We pressed nothing, the menu kept repeating, and nobody answered within the 90 seconds we stayed on the line.

Which Monzo number to call from abroad
Monzo's help page lists one phone line for its current account: 0800 088 4040 from the UK and +44 20 3872 0620 from abroad. Monzo says this number "is only for customer support queries" and that it won't be able to help with other questions.
Monzo does not state opening hours for the line on that page. On cost it says: "We're free to call, but if you're calling from abroad, please be aware that you may be charged by your phone provider."
The help page points you to the app first ("Get in touch with us in app"), and the recorded greeting says the same: if you can use the app, it is usually the quickest way to get help.

Lost card or lost phone
Monzo's help page has its own topics for a lost or stolen device or card ("Check your balance and freeze your card") and for emergencies such as a lost phone or card or a blocked PIN. It does not print a separate phone number for these. We only called the customer support line above.
Call Monzo from your browser
Browzerphone dials +44 numbers from a browser tab, with no SIM card and nothing to install, and charges per minute at a published rate that you can check before you call. The menu keys are on the keypad in the tab.
Without credit, Browzerphone only allows a free trial call, and it ends after one minute. In our test the recorded messages took about 25 seconds before the menu even started, and nobody had answered after 90 seconds, so top up first.
