Marriott Vacation Club phone number: which one to call from abroad

On its Owner Services contact page Marriott Vacation Club first asks where you reside and then shows the numbers for that region. It is a page for owners; for buying an ownership there is a separate sales number.

For Europe the page lists a toll-free number per country, such as 0800 029 3728 in the United Kingdom, and lines by language in Cork, Ireland: +353 21 730 4444 in English, +353 21 730 4405 in German, +353 21 730 4404 in French, +353 21 730 4403 in Spanish and +353 21 730 4402 in Italian. The Latin America and the Africa and Middle East tabs send owners from countries not on their lists to the same Cork lines.

For week owners residing in Asia Pacific the page lists a toll-free number per country and, for countries not listed, +65 6877 6088 in Singapore.

Our test call reached a keypad menu: 1 for ownership reservations and queries, 2 for maintenance fees and finance payments, 3 to hear the menu again.

When we pressed nothing, the menu played twice more and then the system put the call in a queue for the next available advisor. It asked whether we agree to the call being recorded: 1 to agree, 9 if you do not want it recorded. We hung up there, after 90 seconds, before anyone answered.

On the tab for the United States and Canada the page gives 1-800-845-4226 if your resort is in the US or Canada and 1-800-650-5720 if your resort is in Europe or Asia. Questions about the Abound by Marriott Vacations exchange program or points-based ownership go to 888-MVC-4VOA (888-682-4862).

If you want to buy rather than manage an ownership, Marriott Vacation Club's sales line is 888-204-0407, Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern Time. Marriott Vacation Club states that its programs are not owned or sold by Marriott International, so Marriott Bonvoy hotel reservations have their own numbers.

Browzerphone dials the Irish line and the other numbers from a browser tab, with no SIM card and nothing to install, and shows the price per minute before you call; the rates page lists it by country. Our test call to Ireland went out through Browzerphone's US phone provider from a US (+1) number. The keypad for the menu is in the same tab.

Without credit, Browzerphone only allows a free trial call, and it ends after one minute. In our test the menu alone took more than a minute before the call moved to the queue, so top up first if you need to reach an advisor.
