From abroad, call eir customer care on +353 1 766 2599: eir lists it under "Call us from abroad" for broadband, TV, home phone and mobile billpay, and +353 1 766 2037 for mobile prepay. Customer care is open Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 18:00 Irish time and closed on Sunday. The short numbers 1901 and 1747 are eir's lines for calling from Ireland. In our test call from a US number on Saturday 7 November 2026, +353 1 766 2599 answered at once with a keypad prompt for your eir account number or, if you have none, your phone number; when we entered nothing, it said it could not find the account and ended the call after about a minute.

Which eir number to call from abroad
eir's contact page splits its numbers in two. "Call us from Ireland" lists short numbers: 1901 for broadband, TV, tech support and mobile billpay, 1747 for mobile prepay, 1740 for top-ups and 1800 601 701 for business care. "Call us from abroad" lists two Dublin numbers:
eir does not list a separate number from abroad for business care or for top-ups.
- 1Dial +353 1 766 2599, or +353 1 766 2037 for a prepay phone. If your phone cannot enter +, use the international exit code of the country you are in, for example 00.
- 2Have your eir account number ready, or the eir phone number the account is for. In our test there was no greeting and no menu first: the line asked straight away for one of the two, typed on the keypad.
- 3Without a number it asked three times, said "We cannot find your account" and hung up about a minute after answering. We did not enter a number, so we cannot say which menu or queue comes next.

When eir answers
eir's FAQ gives the same hours for customer care, mobile billpay and mobile prepay: Monday to Friday 9:00 to 18:00, Saturday 9:00 to 18:00, closed on Sunday. On bank holidays these lines close at 17:00. Technical support has the same weekday and Saturday hours, but opens at 10:00 on bank holidays.
The page gives the hours without a time zone; they are Irish times. Ireland is one hour behind Poland, Germany, France and Spain all year round, so 9:00 to 18:00 in Dublin is 10:00 to 19:00 in Warsaw.

The same page says some of the most common queries can be resolved with eir's online support forms, and that most of them are resolved within 24 hours, with updates by SMS and email.
