How to call Barclays from abroad

On the Barclays pages we read, personal banking has no separate number for callers abroad, but its Telephone Banking number 03457 345 345, dialled as +44 3457 345 345, connected in our test call from Poland on 20 October 2026; Barclays does not say it works from abroad. The menu offered 1 for the automated Telephone Banking service and 2 for anything else. When we pressed nothing, it suggested messaging in the Barclays app and then asked for the debit card number on the keypad, and nobody answered in the 90 seconds we listened.

Which Barclays number to call from abroad
Barclays' Telephone Banking page says that to register you call 03457 345 345, Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm and Saturday from 9am to 5pm, and that once registered you can use Telephone Banking at any time on 0345 734 5345. Both are the same digits, written two ways. The page describes an automated 24/7 service or an adviser, and says you get a membership number and passcode when you join.
The page does not mention calling from abroad. From outside the UK you drop the leading 0 and dial +44 3457 345 345. In our test from Poland on 20 October 2026 that connected to Barclays' automated menu.
For a debit card lost or stolen while you are abroad, Barclays gives +44 2476 842 099 on its emergency money page, open 24 hours, 7 days a week. We did not call that line. Barclaycard credit cards have their own numbers; see our guide to calling Barclaycard from abroad.

The Barclays app instead of a call
Barclays suggests using 'Call Us' in the Barclays app: log in, go to 'Help', 'Contact us' and tap 'Call Us'. Because you call from the app, Barclays says it knows it is you and will not ask security questions at the start of the call.
On the phone, the menu also pointed to messaging in the app: log in, tap help, scroll to the bottom and select message us. Barclays said this is not a live chat service, so it may not reply immediately.
Call Barclays from your browser
Browzerphone dials +44 numbers from a browser tab, with no SIM card and nothing to install, and charges per minute at a published rate that you can check before you call. +44 3457 345 345 is a UK 03 number, not a mobile number. The keypad for the menu and the card number is in the same tab.
Without credit, Browzerphone only allows a free trial call, and it ends after one minute. In our test the menu and the app message alone took more than a minute, so top up first.

Yes. Barclays' Telephone Banking page writes the same number both ways. From abroad it is +44 3457 345 345.
