How to call Starling Bank from abroad

Starling gives one phone number: "You can phone us 24/7 on 020 7930 4450 (You will need to replace the first 0 with +44 if you are calling us from abroad)." From outside the UK that makes +44 20 7930 4450.

On its contact page Starling says the fastest way for customers to reach it is the app, and that you can also call 020 7930 4450 or email [email protected]: "Either way, we're here 24/7." It asks you not to include any personal or account details in an email.

Starling's contact page asks you to report fraud in the app or by phone, so that it can look into it as soon as possible; the phone number on that page is the same 020 7930 4450. For a card that has gone missing, the page says to lock or cancel it instantly in the app. If you have lost your phone or are locked out of the app, it links to Starling's own instructions.

We called only to test the line itself, without raising any of these issues.
